Life changing guidance in manageable, daily steps.
I loved the clarity and simplicity of this journal. This meditative journal is divided into six sections of key emotions. I never thought about it this way! The mindful meditations are great and I found the “prompts” helped me to really focus on everyday situations that were holding me back. The “affirmations” helped me to see what I can do to make small or big changes in my life every day. The journal writing space is perfect-you can write any of your thoughts during these meditations but it is not meant to be “homework” or a burden-just a place to record whatever is on your mind.Dr. Cammy Froude has taken what seems like an enormous task that I always put off —personal change—and made it understandable, kind, self-loving, self-empowering, and not a time consuming burden. Thanks to this journal, I now “fit” personal development into my busy and sometimes complicated personal, family, and work lifestyle. Very focused “therapy” and growth tool!

Good Resource for Therapists and Clients
I’m a licensed therapist. I use this book for my own personal mindfulness and meditation. I’ve also recommended the whole book to clients, as well as particular journal prompts. Both my clients and I really like it! The author’s voice is soothing and the exercises are evidence-based and actually helpful. The different types of exercises are stimulating, and they challenge me to think and act in a new way. Also, the book is targeted to women but men can benefit just as much from nearly everything in this book.

Thoughtful, well organized and easy to use
This is a fantastic book! I love the way it is organized and thoughtful, but still easy to read. It makes doing daily meditations structured in a way that helps you to want to do them every day while leaving enough space for you to put your own spin and creativity into it. I highly recommend this book and will be using it both personally and in my LMFT practice with my clients. Excellent!!

Practical and Empowering!
I’ve followed Dr. Cammy for years and was looking forward to her first book. This did not disappoint. The exercises are both practical and thoughtful really push you to think differently and as a result, you feel even more grounded in yourself. I give it my highest recommendation.

Real actionable activities that can lead to greater minfulness!
When it comes to thinking about and addressing emotional ideas/concepts I’ve often found it difficult to put things into practice. Either it’s easier to address the topics verbally or else I feel embarrassed putting pen to page. More often than not, quite simply I don’t know where to start or I lose momentum. I’m guilt of having I a drawerful of “journals” i’ve started over the years that end up getting ignored after only a few days of writing.Dr. Cammy’s guided journal was a great solution to many of the issues I had dealt with in the past. I really liked how she kept things relatable and to the point (like the 5-minute meditations) as well as the prompts which can help to get the ideas flowing and offer a starting point.I am not a patient but have been a follower of Dr. Cammy’s through her instagram account. I’ve always liked her approach and friendly demeanor. The way this book was written reflects this and I found it a very easy way for a newbie like myself to begin to think through some of the more complex topics like the 6 universal emotions and just generally develop better habits when it comes to mindfulness.

I so needed this!
Dr. Cammy can I just say you are the SHIIITTTT, your work never disappoints!!This book seems fantastic and I cannot wait to dive in! I’ve already flagged some interesting sections that I’m eager to start with! The pages I have made it through already are beautifully written and per usual I can feel that special tenderness, care, and patience that YOU possess all in this book! You have a very special gift, and writing is one of them yes—but not the first to come to mind. Your love, compassion, patience, and determination to empower other people and want us to wholly and fully feel good with ourselves and our communities is what I admire most about your work! You are the bomb, this book is bomb, thank you for this fantastic read. I cannot wait to start working these meditations/practices into my routine, my week is lifted up with this book, thank you!

I just can’t medite unless I go to the ocean. I give up. Many noodles and meditation music. I just can’t do it. I would by again if I could meditate. Gave it to the cancer donations. I cleaned t all costs Ana my clothes. I adveight large bags for them . A big crate of paperbacks and some paintings. They pick up everything. Two days later for free. Good luck with your meditation.
