Why does the BBT thermometer take 60 seconds to measure my temperature?
The BBT-113AI needs 60s (which is already faster than other basal thermometers) for 2-decimal precision, crucial for detecting tiny post-ovulation temp changes in fertility tracking. Regular ones are quicker but less precise.
Does the BBT thermometer have Bluetooth?
No. The BBT can’t connect via Bluetooth to your phone. However, you can manually transfer your temperature to any app or keep track of your on paper.
What is the best time to use the BBT thermometer?
It is best to measure your temperature with the BBT thermometer around the same time every day. The most accurate will come from measuring before getting out of bed, right after waking up. Your body temperature will be at its lowest during this time.
Is the BBT accurate enough to determine my ovulation?
Yes. The BBT thermometer is developed to track your basal body temperature. Only a BBT thermometer is. It’s far more accurate and measures two decimals. This allows you to determine the increase in your temperature needed to detect your ovulation.

Works great and if not warranty/service is great
I have bought this 2 times. The first one lasted 3 years, and maybe it would have gone longer if I hadn’t lost the replacement battery – but alas I bought a new one instead. The new one worked almost identically for just over 3 months, and then started acting up. Obviously amazon return was out, and the manufacturer says 100 days full refund, but I was about a week over that when it quit. Given it also has a 2 yr warranty and I had used the other one for 3 yrs, I emailed the manufacturer and they quickly got back to me. They suggested a trouble shoot and offered id it didnt work they’d mail me a new one. The troubleshoot didn’t work. After letting them know they immediately sent me a replacement without any struggle. I am impressed. So while my 2nd one did have issues, I give this 5 stars for history and a company standing by their warranty. The thermometer measures fast and accurately. The Last feature is nice.

I have been fairly satisfied. It has been 5 months of using it almost daily and I have not had to use the 2nd battery they included yet. It is not readable in the dark, though.

Works well. Easy to use/clean. Nice display.
Arrived quickly, as described, and works well.The display is plenty large enough to read, and lights up when you first turn it on, and again when it’s finished the reading, but the nice part is it goes dark while in use so it’s not shining in your face. It stores your last reading in memory and shows it when you first turn it on, in case you can’t write it down right away. Easy to use, easy to clean, good design. The beep when it has a reading is not quiet, but much quieter than other models, and only one semi-long beep, not a persistent beeping. I wrap my hand around the bulbous end and it mutes it a little bit too. 🙂

Updated review: customer service for this product is top notch. They really wanted me to be satisfied with a thermometer and solved my issue. The second thermometer listed does have a light (with the larger screen). I got it 4 stars because of two reasons: the light stays on only briefly so you have to look kinda quickly, and this could be user error but there have been a few times (with each thermometer) that I thought it was ready my temperature but after over a minute I take it out and it’s just off.All in all, it’s precise to 2 digits and works for what I need!Oh, one more thing, the beep has woken my husband, so it’s not super quiet. Not a problem though since he’s usually awake before me anyways.And I like the case it comes in!Original review: I mean…I works…but heads up – there is no LED light. I know it’s supposed to be able to recall your last recording later but honestly it prefer one that has a light for easy reading without turning the room light on

Updated Review – Great Customer Service!
Update 11/7/24:This company was super great to work with. They saw my complaints, and sent me an upgraded version of their thermometer to try. It works great! It lights up, the numbers are large, and the button is easy to press. And it’s easy to look back later at the temperature that was taken to record later if I want to do it that way. The customer service was top notch, so I would order from them again now.Original review:I wouldn’t order this again. I didn’t realize that the temperature doesn’t light up. So since I’m using it for taking BBT first thing in the morning before getting up, it’s dark, and I can’t see the temperature. So then I have to come back later to actually record the temperature. I don’t like the way you have to hold the button down in order to get the prior reading instead of it just showing it like others usually do. Also, pushing the button is kind of difficult. I wish it was a bigger button. I also question the accuracy a bit since it measures way different than the other thermometer I had. I got it to have more precise measurement since my other one only measured to one decimal point, but this one will measure at least .5 degrees off from other other one.

Short Battery Life
Thermometer does as it should, reads temperature. I gave 3 stars because the battery died after 2 months of use. They do give a back up battery, which I was surprised to see, but now I know why. You can get the batteries cheap enough, you’ll just have to be replacing them frequently if your using this thermometer everyday for tracking bbt.

Be careful of the spare battery
The thermometer itself is great.HOWEVER! The thermometer comes with a replacement button battery. “Wonderful!” you may say. You would be wrong to say this. Exposed button batteries are deadly. They’re very easy for a small child (the sort of human you may well have, if you’re buying this sort of product) to swallow, and stomach acid makes a great short circuit. ERs do not like button batteries.SO BE CAREFUL WITH THE BATTERY. Or just throw it out (safely), the thermometer should last for years on the shipping battery anyway.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Ovulationsthermometer. Es ist super einfach zu bedienen, liefert sehr schnelle Messergebnisse und vor allem: extrem genau. Die Temperaturwerte stimmen zuverlässig, sodass ich meinen Zyklus und meine fruchtbaren Tage sehr genau verfolgen kann. Besonders praktisch ist das klare Display und die unkomplizierte Handhabung – morgens kurz messen, ablesen und fertig. Für alle, die ihren Zyklus genau im Blick haben möchten, ist dieses Thermometer wirklich eine tolle Investition. Präzise, zuverlässig und einfach in der Anwendung – ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Using for Basel temperature. It does take up to 60 seconds to get a reading as it’s more precise, so bear with it. It was set to F first then was able to change to °C. Saw good and bad reviews and the overall great rating so gave it a try and happy with it.
