It’s winter. My family is just recovering from winter break and a round of illnesses that followed. So, when I saw these elderberry gummies I ordered them to give them a try and hopefully give my immune system some support during the recovery process.In general I’m not a huge fan of gummies, because I feel like they dilute the effectiveness of the nutrients, but my kids will actually take gummies and I find it easier to take gummies because, of course, they are tastier than pills.I like that this brand has done a lot to assure me that they make these in a safe environment and with safe processes, thanks to the HACCP certification, FDA & GMP registration. There is no info that I could find about where these are made, so I assume they took these steps because they are made in a country where quality may be a concern without these safeguards. I wish that they also provided 3rd party testing of the ingredients. Supplements are not regulated in the US, so it is important that not only the manufacturing conditions are overseen by a 3rd party, btu the ingredients need to be tested to ensure safety, quality, and accuracy.Talking about ingredients, I like the combination of vitamins c, zinc, elderberry extract, prebiotics and probiotics. But I don’t like that they advertise as sugar free, but the first ingredient is maltitol which usually has as much if not more impact on blood sugar. Unfortunately, this makes me suspect of the overall quality of this gummy, since the first ingredient is not a good quality sweetener. There are so many other choices, some that even qualify as prebiotics.Otherwise, the taste and the texture are pleasant. Not too sweet, not too sticky or too stiff. It will be easy to convince myself and my kids to take these. The price is also quite reasonable, perhaps due to the cheaper ingredients, like maltitol. So, I guess these are a good value, but I personally would pay a little more for both 3rd party testing and better ingredient choices. So, I give it 4 stars because they made an effort but, in my opinion, came up short.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS I have been taking a similar immune-support gummy daily for some time, so I had a specific standard for comparison when trying these. While these gummies offer a good blend of Elderberry, Vitamin C, and Zinc, the overall experience of taking them was somewhat underwhelming compared to the brand I usually use.TEXTURE AND CONSISTENCY The texture of these gummies is quite firm and leans toward being rubbery. Unlike my usual brand, which is easier to chew, these require more effort and have a tendency to stick to the teeth slightly. If you prefer a more traditional, softer gummy texture, these might feel a bit too tough.FLAVOR AND SWEETNESS In terms of taste, the flavor is very slight. These are raspberry-flavored and sugar-free, but they lack the punchy, fruit-forward taste I have come to expect from this type of supplement. While they don’t have a strong artificial aftertaste, they also aren’t particularly enjoyable to eat. I don’t find myself looking forward to taking these like I do with my regular brand.SUPPLEMENT FACTS On the positive side, the nutritional profile is solid.
